I received my B.S. and M.S. in 1983 and 1988 respectively from Southwest Jiaotong University in Chengdu, China. From 1988 to 1995, I was with the Electrical Engineering Department of Southwest Jiaotong University, where my research interests were in the areas of electrified railway systems simulation, high-speed electrified railway systems simulation, simulation of electric train drive and control, power systems and power electronics simulation, power system harmonics and power system analysis. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in electrical  engineering at Texas Tech University. The current areas of research include renewable energy systems, neural networks, and massively parallel processing.
